Shannon joined Holst in 2019 with a background in adaptive reuse and public interest design projects. She is a leader in our office community, planning many inclusive cultural, educational, and welcoming social events for Holst staff. A passionate designer and skilled Project Manager, she has been a key team member on several of the firm’s notable projects, including Multnomah County Library’s new East County Library.

In March of 2024, Shannon received the DJC Oregon Building Diversity Award for her dedicated efforts to community engagement for East County Library. The 95,000-square-foot destination library will have a major presence in Gresham, Oregon, and will provide a place for residents to access new, important community resources. Key features of the project include a central living room, makerspace, 230-seat auditorium, indoor-outdoor children’s play area, and a dedicated teen space.
