Land Recognition
We have a responsibility to not only acknowledge but also elevate Native communities and their needs. This project sits in the area currently known as Portland, which encompasses the traditional village sites of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin Kalapuya, Molalla, and many other tribes who made their homes along the Columbia River.
Educating ourselves is an important action. We encourage you to explore the stories of these communities through Native-led resources like David G. Lewis, PhD’s The Quartux Journal and Leading with Tradition.

Historic Charm, Modern Brews
BridgePort Brew Pub is part of a group of designated Historic Landmark buildings in Portland’s formerly industrial Pearl District. Built in stages beginning in 1888, the building houses the BridgePort Brewery, associated offices, and the Brew Pub.

Natural Light
A new seismic frame that travels through the building’s roof allows for increased natural light in the bar and dining spaces.
Renovated to Last
To meet the standards of the developing neighborhood, the project included an extensive renovation and seismic upgrades to the existing pub space. Holst opened the ground floor interior space to the second floor to create a spacious beer hall. The reconfigured bar anchors the hall at the north end of the building. A new bakery serves the restaurant’s needs and complements the brewery’s crafted beers, while an updated kitchen allows for greater diversity on the menu.
While so much has changed in the century-old building, you’ll find a comfortable and familiar atmosphere.— BridgePort Brewing
