Land Recognition
We have a responsibility to not only acknowledge but also elevate Native communities and their needs. This project sits in the area currently known as Portland, which encompasses the traditional village sites of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin Kalapuya, Molalla, and many other tribes who made their homes along the Columbia River.
Educating ourselves is an important action. We encourage you to explore the stories of these communities through Native-led resources like David G. Lewis, PhD’s The Quartux Journal and Leading with Tradition.

Bold Urban Living
A collaboration between Holst Architecture and Ankrom Moisan Architects, 937 Condominiums is a tall, narrow, rectangular mass over a transparent retail base. The building features cream-colored brick set against translucent, wine-red balconies with a varied pattern of window sizes and spacing for visual interest at different scales.

Enhancing the Skyline
Wine-red balconies set against cream-colored brick provide a unique sense of identity for the structure.

Light-Filled Living Spaces
The slender floor plans provide generous natural light and expansive city views. Open, airy living spaces integrate entertaining areas to take full advantage of the light and stunning views.
